Bug Week Kicks Off at Worthing Sailing Club!

What a fantastic start to Bug Week here at Worthing Sailing Club! The sun shone brightly, and the wind blew just enough to give our young sailors an excellent first day of training.

Liz, Andy, and the impressive AI and DI teams did a stellar job organising a warm and welcoming introduction to the week. The morning was filled with smiles as our youth sailors eagerly gathered to begin their adventures on the water.

We were thrilled to have Kat, our guest trainer, join us. She worked with various groups throughout the day, sharing her extensive knowledge and helping our youth sailors sharpen their skills. Her presence was a wonderful addition to our training team, and the kids loved learning from her.

After a morning packed with fun and learning, everyone enjoyed a delicious lunch prepared by Tina and the fantastic galley support team. Refueled and re-energized, the sailors were ready to hit the water again for more excitement.

The afternoon brought more fun, but the wind decided to take a bit of a break. Despite this, our determined sailors made the most of it, even if it meant a bit of boat pulling up the beach due to the low water. No doubt, there might be some tired arms and legs tonight!

All in all, it was a brilliant first day, setting the tone for what promises to be an unforgettable Bug Week. We can't wait to see what the rest of the week holds! Stay tuned for more updates and adventures from Worthing Sailing Club.
